Botulinum toxin type A is a purified protein that temporarily relaxes the muscles it's injected into by quieting the nerve signals that make them contract. Used precisely, it can calm overworked jaw muscles, help prevent migraine attacks, and smooth the lines that form from repeated expression.
What changes from one use to the next is the dose and where it's placed. We tailor both to your goals and health history.

Overworked jaw muscles (the masseter and temporalis) can cause jaw pain, clenching, grinding and tension headaches. Relaxing these muscles may help ease pain and reduce clenching, while you can still talk and chew normally.
For adults with chronic migraine: 15 or more headache days a month, each lasting 4 hours or more. Small injections across the forehead, temples, back of the head, neck and shoulders help block the pain signals involved in migraine.
Softens lines that form from repeated expression and helps keep new creases from setting in. We aim for a refreshed look that keeps natural movement.
Treatment may be a good fit if you:
Most people tolerate treatment well. Mild redness, tenderness or a small bruise at the injection site is common and short-lived. Some people get a brief headache, neck stiffness or, rarely, a drooping eyelid or brow that settles as the product wears off. Treatment isn't suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for people with certain neuromuscular conditions. We review your health history first.
We review your symptoms or goals, health history and medications, then plan your treatment.
We confirm the areas, units and cost. For migraine, our medical team helps you check coverage.
Fine-needle injections take 15–30 minutes. Most people return to normal activities right away.
Effects begin in 3–10 days and peak at about 2–4 weeks. Most results last 3–4 months.
Botox® for chronic migraine can be covered. Our medical team, through Nurse Tia, helps with the paperwork. TMJ and cosmetic treatment usually aren't covered, though some extended health plans may reimburse TMJ care with a diagnosis and receipts.
Many workplace and private plans cover Botox® for chronic migraine, often after a prior-approval form. We provide the documentation your insurer asks for.
If you're eligible for ODB, Trillium or OHIP+, Ontario's Exceptional Access Program may fund Botox® for chronic migraine when you have 15+ headache days a month, have tried three or more oral preventives, and are assessed by a physician with headache training.
AbbVie Care helps people prescribed Botox® with insurance paperwork and coverage applications. Your prescriber enrolls you. Phone 1-833-570-0818.
Coverage depends on your plan and eligibility and isn't guaranteed. Clinic treatment fees are billed separately from medication.

Estimates only. Your exact units are confirmed at your consultation. TMJ and cosmetic treatment repeat every 3–4 months; migraine every 12 weeks. Detailed receipts are provided for insurance.
Evidence is strongest for chronic migraine and for cosmetic lines. For TMJ and bruxism, research is still growing and results vary from person to person.
In the pooled PREEMPT trials, adults treated every 12 weeks had significantly fewer headache days and better quality of life than those given placebo.
Health Canada approves Botox® for preventing headaches in adults with chronic migraine. Use for TMJ and bruxism is off-label and based on clinical judgment.
Results are not guaranteed and vary by person. Your MedCAiRE provider will confirm whether treatment suits you.

Safe, OB-approved iron infusions for you and your baby.

nSTRIDE® APS (Autologous Protein Solution) is an advanced biologic platelet-rich plasma injection for knee osteoarthritis. It uses a concentrated solution from your own blood, rich in anti-inflammatory proteins, IL-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1ra), growth factors and platelets, to target joint inflammation, pain and degeneration.
Unlike steroid or lubricating injections, nSTRIDE® is designed to interrupt the inflammatory cascade, support joint health, improve mobility and help protect cartilage from further breakdown.
See how your own blood is drawn, processed on-site into APS, and injected into the knee under real-time ultrasound guidance, all in one visit at our clinic.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a regenerative injection made from your own blood. We draw a small sample and spin it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, which are rich in growth factors. The PRP is then injected into the injured tendon, ligament or joint to support your body's natural healing and help reduce pain.
Because it comes from your own blood, PRP is a natural, non-surgical option for persistent soft-tissue injuries and early joint wear.

From the blood draw to on-site preparation to the ultrasound-guided injection, see what your visit looks like.

SportVis™ is a hyaluronic acid injection treatment for painful, slow-to-heal tendon and ligament injuries, most commonly chronic tennis elbow and mild to moderate ankle sprains. Hyaluronic acid is a substance your body already makes; it helps cushion, lubricate and hydrate soft tissue.
SportVis™ uses STABHA™, the only Health Canada-approved hyaluronic acid formulated specifically for soft-tissue injuries. It is given as small injections around the injured area and works alongside your body's own healing response.

“Absolutely recommend Tia and PRP injections. I had persistent tennis elbow and arm pain for years. I tried so many therapies, including physio, acupuncture, massage, etc. Pain never totally improved. Finally Filipe suggested I try PRP and I was skeptical but was ready to try anything.Immediately felt better and after a few weeks I have minimal pain in that area. Already planning another PRP procedure.”
